Many time when a person thinks of NASCAR and their sponsors they think of Home Depot, Lowe’s, Budweiser or any other national company. In team ownership, the powerhouses include names like Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing.

However, there is a company in Pampa who is a part of a race team who races in the Camping World Truck Series of NASCAR.

SWM International Inc., based in Pampa, is a company who is a premier manufacturing facility that specializes in custom design and development of the highest quality oil field completion tools including the best oil well perforating guns in the industry today. It is owned by Sid and Dawna Mauldin, who now also co-own SWM-NEMCO Motorsports alongside veteran NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series driver, Joe Nemechek.

“He is a great guy,” Dawna said. “He is honest, easy to work with and is dedicated to Sid.”

SWM-NEMCO only raced in two events in the 2013 season, but have come on board to race in all 22 Camping World Truck Series races in 2014. Dawna said that Joe manages the race team while they put the money into the team.
