900th Start

Web guy Rob here.  We love fan interaction, and Joe loves to hear from his fans.  Last year for Joe's birthday we asked fans to send their favorite Joe memory along with a birthday wish.  I compiled all of this and gave Joe 99 pages of memories and birthday wishes at Dover that he read through over the course of the weekend and back in the shop the next week.  Thrilled by the outpouring, Joe decided to give away some of his racing trophies to the fans that participated as a thanks.

This weekend in Texas, Joe will be attempting to qualify for his 900th NASCAR start - that is quite an accomplishment!  And to honor this, we would like to do something similar to what we did for his birthday.  If you fans can send in your biggest reason of why you have been a fan of Joe for all these races, we'll randomly reward a few of the entries with pairs of Talladega tickets!  And we'll present Joe with everything you send before he gets in the car for that historic 900th start.

Just fill out the form below describing why you've been a long time fan of Joe, or email it to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Be sure to include a valid email address, because that's how we'll get in touch with you if you've been selected to receive the Talladega tickets.  Let us know if you are interested in tickets for Nationwide, Sprint Cup, or either.  Or let us know if you are not interested in the tickets and just wanted to get your message to Joe.  Please don't opt in for the tickets if you are unable to attend.

Thanks for being a fan of Joe!

Goin' Back to Cali

Well, traveling across the country always proves to be a bit of experience; especially for our haulers.

Last year, we had a tractor break down and had to rely on a backup that was supplied by another race team.  This year we again had troubles, and we were on the phone with that same race team.  Things were looking bad for our tractor, and I could feel the mounting repair costs getting bigger and bigger.  Then we were able to get the tractor looked at, and get it hooked up to a computer.  After a few minutes of analysis, they found that there was one bad part, which happened to be in stock in a local warehouse.  So we called off the backup, and two hours later we were back on the road.

But the excitement didn't end there, as the tractor continued to have trouble along the way.  We didn't have to stop, but kept getting indicator lights as it went down the road.  Everybody on the team was relieved when the haulers hit California late Wednesday.

We do keep our haulers maintained, but we put a lot of miles on them, and things break once in a while.  It just seems like those things always break on the way out West.

But here we are, with Kevin Conway driving the #87 Nationwide ExtenZe Toyota for us, while I take the #97 Chevy for Nationwide and the #87 Toyota for Sprint Cup.  Kevin has got info on the Jack Daniel Phillips missing person case on the car, and we're all hoping this might help the case.  We're all looking forward to a good weekend, as long as the rains stay away.

Thanks for your support and the continued support of our sponsors!

Daytona Sponsors Announced

Happy 2011 Racing Season!

It was a scramble to get everything ready for Daytona, but things have come together. We sent the haulers off on Wednesday, and we're all in the midst of changing from prep to race. We've still got work to do on the prep front, since we have to head to Phoenix as soon as Daytona is over, and there is still work to do on the Phoenix cars, but for now we focus on RACING!

I want to thank our Daytona sponsors for this year. AM FM Energy stepped up to be the primary sponsor for the Daytona 500 and all of Speedweeks.  And D.A.B. Constructors is back as the primary sponsor on the Nationwide car.  These companies stepped up to help us, so please send business their way when you can.  You can find the full press releases here on the NEMCO website.  Their websites are www.amfmenergy.com and www.dabcon.com.

Keep checking back as we're trying to do more updates and get more pictures up this year.
